Holiday season is approaching soon and most of the brands already have their holiday collections out. I have to admit Bobbi Brown holiday collections always seem so nice when I see preview but most of the time they are hit or miss especially limited edition palettes. They do look nice but perform poorly.
I know that Bobbi is pretty famous for her gel eyeliners but I was never interested in trying one since I love MAC fluidlines and they are much cheaper. Trying out limited edition color for holidays seemed like a good way of trying these for the first time. I remember that I saw swatch on Instagram and had to order it right away.
It comes in a little glass jar same as MAC fluidlines (and probably most of the gel eyeliners on the market).
It is deep dark chocolate brown color with golden shimmer. It is extremely pigmented, creamy, and goes on evenly with great color payoff. I love brown eyeliners and this one is probably the nicest one I have ever tried. It goes great with beige, brown, golden eyeshadows that I Love to wear. In the photos below I paired it with Chanel Illusion d’ombre in Convoitise and three matte Too Faced eyeshadows from their Natural eye collection
Dipping the brush once would give me enough of the color to draw down the lash line without having to get more product.
There was no smudging , flaking or fading throughout the day. In the photos below I did my makeup at 5.30am and stayed perfect until 8pm.
This is truly a winner product for me from the BB holiday line, maybe even the best product I have ever tried from Bobbi. Now I am tempted to try more of her gel liners.
Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner retails for 24$ and I got mine at Nordstrom but it’s also available at Macys, Bloomingdales and bobbibrown.com
