Chanel Plisse Lumiere De Chanel Illuminating Powder

Chanel Plisse Lumiere De Chanel Illuminating Powder is a complexion illuminator exclusive to CHANEL.

Its texture, designed like folded paper, evokes Japanese craftsmanship always in a balance between tradition and modernity. A pure and delicate golden light is reflected upon the skin, resulting in a pure and healthy radiance.

Chanel has been on a roll with recent highlighter releases. We just recovered from chasing Camelia (reviewed HERE ) and here it comes new release (initially launched in Asia and Canada) that appeared on Chanel website for 2 seconds before it was mysteriously gone. EDIT – it is available again here: Chanel Énergies Et Puretes

I was lucky to be notified about Plisse Lumiere de Chanel’s availability and I quickly ordered it. I am glad I did because it is absolutely beautiful. Is it must have if you already have Camelia? I will have to say no. They are similar enough that if you are reasonable person you do not need both. If you are makeup and Chanel lover of course you need them both. Main difference is in the texture – Plisse Lumiere de Chanel has a bit softer and silkier texture. Color wise they are almost identical and main difference is that Plisse has richer base color – warmer beige and it is a bit more opaque while Camelia’s base color is more translucent. Also Plisse does not have pronounced shimmer like Camelia does. Please note swatches below. Plisse Lumiere de Chanel Illuminating Powder has 10gr and I purchased it directly from chanel.com for 70$.

  1. Beautiful comparison and swatches – I do see the difference between the two. However, I’m still undecided on this as already have the stunning Camelia in my possession. Will see …
