Chanel Prelude Eyeshadow Quad Review, Photos, Swatches

Prelude is one of the Chanel quads in their permanent line. It is beautiful neutral cool staple. It has been on my wishlist forever.
All four shades do have shimmer that’s subtle and visible only in photos with flash. In daylight you can’t see shimmer, it’s more of a satin sheen.

US version of Chanel quads has amazing texture, soft pigmented and easy to work with. They look with (EOTD is with Lorac eyeshadow primer and applied with brushes) or without a primer (photo with swatch on my arm is without primer and applied with sponge applicators that came with the quad).
Prelude is great addition to anyone’s stash especially if you are just starting your collection and you need easy fool proof wearable everyday neutrals.
Colors are not unique and they are easily dupable. My only issue with this quad is that if I use all four shades they blend in one into another too much. Maybe I should only pick two and wear them that way. I like when I can distinguish all four shades on the eye.
I do recommend this quad even though I was not blown away with it. So far Regard perle has been my favorite Chanel quad.

You can see how Prelude looks different depending on the light. First two photos are taken in daylight. It looks much more cooler and seems grayish. In photo taken with flash you can see warm undertones and the shimmer.
