Dolce&Gabbana Beauty Bronzing Powder Duo

Give your skin the perfect, summery sun-kissed glow with the Dolce&Gabbana Bronzing Powder Duo. Its unique design combines two gorgeous bronzers in one luxurious product for a radiant glow that defines and perfects the contours of your face.

Pro tips: The shades can be used as two separate products. Use the lighter shade for highlighting your cheeks and the darker to contour the face. Or you can blend the two colors to create a third shade to set your foundation and illuminate your complexion.

I have noticed DG Bronzer duo on Instagram being suggested by a famous makeup artist as a great one for light skin to give natural summer glow . I couldn’t find not even one review, swatches nothing out there… So I ordered it hoping I will like it.
This is my first venture into world of luxury D&G makeup. I was never interested in their line even though they have some very nice looking items. Who is gonna keep up with all the brands?
It comes in a gold heavy and very sturdy case and with a velvet pouch- now I would say standard for all the high end brands. I am not sure if I like the pouch thing or I hate it.
Packaging is really beautyfil and screams luxury (it better for 60$). With that gold kind of reminds me of YSL. It feels very heavy in hand and kind of bulky which is no surprise since it has two separate compartments.

This limited edition bronzing powder duo comes in two options – light and dark. I obviously picked the lighter one that includes two of the permanent shades – 10 and 30, while the other darker option includes shades 20 and 40. I absolutely love the idea creating duo of two shades from the permanent line. Great if you want to try one of their bronzers but you are not sure which one to pick out. Great if you want to have one color for you winter tan and summer tan. I never even looked at their bronzers so being able to try two shades  for 60$ instead of only one for 50$ I do think it’s a good deal.

This bronzing powder duo is warm, very warm toned. I do not want to use word “orange” in a bad way but it is orange. I do not mind orange and warmth in my bronzers since I am yellow toned but I do not think this would work for cooler skin tones. It mostly reminds me of NARS Irresistibiliment.  Two top photos is when bronzer was still new and unfortuntely I could only take photos without any sunlight (it was so rainy and gloomy). All the photos below were taken after two weeks of pretty much every day use and finally in some sunlight. Finish is matte, nice soft matte not boring flat matte. Even dough you can see some tiny shimmer particles in the photos they do not transfer on skin.
Main thing that blew me away about this bronzer is texture. It is beyond amazing and unlike anything I tried before. It is super soft and silky and blends effortlessly. It is smoother than any powder texture I have ever tried. It makes me want to try more DG powder products if they are equal in quality.
I played with it and used only lighter shade, only darker shade but I preffer using darker for so called contour and then blend it out with lighter shade. Very nice combinationt hat gives that sunkissed warm glow. I wore it with and without a higlighter. I like MAC Soft and gentle, NARS Albatros and Dior Nude shimmer powder to combine with this.

I had the hardest time making a decent swatch. Since it’s made for light skin tones it is very sheer. Not sheer in a way it lacks pigment it’s just made so soft but buildable that trying to show the real color was very hard. With that said I had to make heavy  finger swatches, but at least I was able to capture the color and the difference between top lighter and bottom darker shade.

Overall I am happy I bought it. Color is not really unique (how unique one bronzer can be?) but the texture really sets it apart.  I just hope I will not get hooked on D&G makeup.
