Essie introduced 6 new colors to already existing 42 in their Gel couture range as a part of the Ballet nudes collection. This collection is natural/nude nail polish lover dream come true.
Step into your satin slipper and meet me at the barre – let’s dance a pirouette or two before closing night starts. when the curtain is drawn and the spotlight is on, hold the position with perfect posture like a prima ballerina. whether you lace me up or lace me down, my ballet nudes look on pointe

I picked out Closing night as a shade that really stood out for me. I do not have anything similar to it in my stash. It is described as soft shimmer gray but honestly it is much more complex than that. It is cool toned gray but what makes it so special is tiny light blue shimmer. Gorgeous. It reminds me color wise of Parka perfect from Essie’s permanent range but with added shimmer to it. If you like Parka perfect you need this one too. Formula is easy to work with – two coats for full opaque coverage. Application is like a dream as with any Gel couture – wide brush makes it super easy and quick to achieve perfect many and formulas are thin enough to make easy to apply but pigmented enough that with most of the colors you need only 1 or 2 coats max. I am so in love with this color. I am thinking about buying Satin slipper and Lace me up next – do you have any on your wishlist?
