Essie gray, greige and taupe shades

Essie gray, greige and taupe shades

My love affair with Essie started many years ago when I saw one bottle randomly sitting at one of the end caps in the store. Color was so beautiful and it caught my eye instantly that I had to come back ,pick it up and buy it immediately. It was Merino cool. Many years and way too many bottles of nail polish later this is still my favorite  nail polish ever – not just from Essie. I find these shades to compliment my skin tone and they look great on shorter nails. I think Essie really mastered their versions of grey, greige and taupe colors.

Among many released these are my favorites. Some are oldies but still goodies. One of them is brand new – Take Me To Thread, which is part of the newly released Gel couture line. If you haven’t tried it YOU MUST! Essie set the bar really high with Gel couture and I can’t wait to see more colors released. You can find my review HERE .  I prefer my grays to be either neutral or to lean a bit warm although lately I am trying to convince myself that I can pull of some cool toned grays too.
