Givenchy Beauty Summer Must Haves

I am so excited to share with you some of my Givenchy summer must haves.  Smooth polished skin and long wearing complexion thanks to Mat&Blur, that sunkissed look with Les Saisons Healthy Glow Bronzing Powders in 5 different shades tailored to every complexion and undertone and followed by Mister light glow that left me so impressed by how brightening and luminous it is without being overly shimmery. Givenchy is known for understated, soft, feminine looks – nothing is ever over the top, it is not makeup that is in the focus it is natural beauty just enhanced by these beautiful pieces. Givenchy packaging is always stunning – sleek, luxurious, minimal but with some beautiful accents like the Givenchy logo.

Mat & Blur (38$) –the mattifying primer  for a perfectly matte and velvety complexion all day long. It can be spot applied over foundation, to emphasize specific areas and highlight your cheekbones, your nose, the middle of your chin, your forehead and your eyelid too. As a primer or touch-up, this Mat & Blur Touch stick gives you a velvety, matte skin all day long, wherever you are. Givenchy innovates with Mat & Blur, a mattifying primer instant touch-up. This stick mattifies, blurs imperfections, refines and makes uniform skin texture. Hour after hour, its formula eliminates shine while keeping a luminous complexion and bringing a transparent, soft and velvety finish to your skin. Its universal pink shade can be applied on every skin tone. Easy to use, it is also easy to carry everywhere for touch-ups on the move thanks to its nomad format. For a daily beauty routine or for instant touch-ups anytime, bring a velvety matte effect to your skin all day long. Apply Mat & Blur as primer under make-up and allover your face or on specific areas where your skin shines. It facilitates make-up application and fix it. I can be applied all day long as a touch-up on an already makeup skin to mattify the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin, cheekbone).

This is such an interesting product for me because I typically stay away from anything matte even in summer. I like that it is in the stick form so I can apply it only on my T zone or wherever my pores are enlarged to smooth them and help the application of the rest of the complexion products. Another plus is really nice sleep packaging you can toss it in your purse, gym or travel bag and if you have to touch up throughout the day you can do it over your makeup too.

Les Saisons Healthy Glow Bronzing Powders (53$) -A unique baked talc-free bronzing powder that offers the perfect sun kissed glow.

The design on the pressed powder is inspired by the iconic Givenchy star and encased in a classic compact adorned with the famous stud. The innovative and hybrid talc-free formula is a baked gel that allows for buildable intensity. Combine with Healthy Glow Highlighting powder for a glowing complexion.

One of the most beautiful bronzing powders on the market. Soft formula blends in and melts into the skin giving the most natural sunkissed “just came from the vacation” glow. I have three shades and they might look extremely similar but different enough for different skin shades and undertones. Clockwise in the photo below are 2, 3 and 4.  02 Douce Saison is the most popular one for the fair/light skin with somewhat neutral undertones it can work for both cooler and warmer skin tones. This one I’ve had for a couple of years now (in a different limited edition packaging). I love it but I wish it was a bit warmer. That’s where 03 Ambre saison is the perfect match! In swatches you can almost notice that it  appears even lighter than 02 but in reality, it really isn’t – it is just a bit more “yellow” and blends better into my skin tone. A true winner for me! 04 Extreme saison is perfect for medium to darker skin tones -slightly too dark for me but can be buffed out to be sheer enough.  These appear almost matte in the pan while once you swatch it and especially in the brighter light you can see there is a bit of a shimmer in them but applied on skin it is so minimal that these would be perfect if you are looking for a bronzer with a satin finish. Glow in it looks so natural that you will never have to worry about large shimmer accentuating large pores or migrating all over your face.

Mister Light Glow – the Golden Glow Corrective Pen (37$) This magical pen acts like a shadow chaser by reducing darkness and visible signs of fatigue as it brightens and highlights the face. Just a single swipe of the brush brings you correction and a subtle golden to pink glow. Rediscover the #04 Mister Macaroon shade of Mister Light with golden mother-of-pearls in limited edition. For a dash of refined chic, the golden nacres of new Mister Light Glow corrector brighten the inside corners of the eyes, as well as the top of cheekbones, above the brows and the Cupid’s bow.

Mister Light Glow left me so surprised and blown away! Here is why – I expected this is like one of their permanent Mister light shades and once out of the pen that’s how it looks too. Brightening and nicely pigmented. I started blending it on my hand and it looked almost too light and thick but once it melted into the skin I was stunned to see what a gorgeous shimmer it has! Very hard to capture so you will have to trust me on this one (note two photos below I tried my best to show you what a tiny multi colored shimmer it has and how refined it is ). You can mix it in with your foundation, use on highest points on your face and I even use it gently under my eyes to brighten – I personally hate anything overly matte under the eyes (it comes with age).
