My first pick was Champagne flash – this is usually my favorite shade of highlighters and I believe something that compliments my skin tone the best. I typically I am not a big fan of cream highlighters or any kind of cream cheek products. I prefer powder for easiness of application and better-staying power. Having dehydrated skin that becomes terribly dry during the winter I should probably gravitate more towards cream products, at least during winter time. So far I have been very impressed with anything I have tried from Hourglass range – my favorite are Ambient powders, bronzes and their gorgeous blushes (Brilliant Nude and Mood exposure).  I was excited to see if Hourglass can create a cream product that can be equally as good as their famous powder products.

Vanish Flash in Champagne flash is incredibly pigmented – one swipe out of the tube gives fully opaque color that goes on evenly and easily. It can be sheered out but I do prefer it a bit more opaque. It depends how do you like your highlight – subtle or blinding (I am guilty of the latter one).  Typically cream cheek products do not set on their own and require at least a bit of setting powder on top to prevent transfer and fading but what I really loved about Vanish flash is that it sets itself and pretty quickly – no transfer and great staying power. This is a great news for those with the combination and oily skin who did not have much luck in the past with cream products.

Champagne flash being light gold with warm undertone works so well layered with Brilliant nude blush or Luminous Bronze light bronzer. Great thing about Vanish flash is that you can layer different ones to get the custom color and that you can use them on your eyes, lips, cheeks…

There are honestly no cons to this product. I can not think of any (except the price that is steep at 42$ + tax). My second purchase from this line is Rose gold which will be reviewed shortly. Also, I got my hands on the 2 new Graphik shadow palettes that I can not wait to show you.

Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting stick in Champagne Flash was purchased by me at Sephora.
