It is standard milky cleanser meant for dry and very dry skin. I think it would work very well for normal, sensitive and aging skin as well. I have used it on hundreds of women with different skin types and in different age groups to quickly remove their makeup and I never had a bad feedback or bad experience with it.
It has the most beautiful soft scent that is so soothing! Texture is velvety like a silk and glides easily on the skin. No tugging, no pulling, not having to rub your makeup off. It really melts everything off in one swipe. Even the heaviest makeup. Skin is left soft and moisturized. There is no feeling of dryness of tightens. It has this pampering effect on the skin. This would be great for skin with rosacea or eczema.
I apply small amount on the cotton pad (btw completely obsessed with Shiseido cotton – I am not going back to drugstore ones since price is almost the same and the quality can not be compared).
I use this first to melt and remove any makeup I have and then I follow with the cleanser. Is it necessary? Probably not especially if your skin is very dry or sensitive and if you like one step cleansing process. It should be followed with a toner that’s for sure. This is kind of old school type of cleansing (I remember my mom always had cleansing milk and a toner. Every single esthetician would recommend that kind of regimen). I prefer using water I need some kind of cleanser that involves water to be able to actually feel clean.
I do not think this would work for oily and acne prone skin. It leaves that milky kind of cream residue after cleansing.
Packaging is one of the best made in the beauty industry. It’s perfectly made to be easy to hold and easy to dispense amount of product you need.
Lancome Galatee Confort is made in two sizes : 6.8 oz /200ml that retails for 30$ or double the size 13.5 / 400ml for 50$. I had the smaller one and it lasted me about three months with daily use.
Overall one of the best makeup removers/cleansers on the market. Highly recommended.
