Just in time to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its small-screen debut, MAC has created this limited-edition collection to celebrate the powerful women of Star Trek – both past and present. Each product comes wrapped in special packaging.
Launch into orbit with this powder that transforms your skin upon contact. With swirls of complementing colors and luminous pearls, it provides sheer luminosity to your skin, is creamy to the touch and blends easily.
I am by no means Star trek fan but I am MAC fan and I am always excited for new highlighter launches. Among the three options Luna luster seemed like a best choice for me. Color wise it is beautiful soft peach with luminous finish. It does have some lilac and beige veining that makes it less warm. It has large shimmer which I usually don’t have problem with but I know many do not like this. Shimmer is fine with me as long as it blends easily with the powder and doesn’t migrate all over the face.
Even though I did like the color and the glow that MAC Star Trek powder gives, I really disliked it’s texture. It is dry, stiff, doesn’t melt into the skin. It has sheerness of MAC beauty powders but lacks what usually Mineralized skinfinishes have- soft blendable texture.
It reminded me of Perfect topping but very poorly executed version of it.
Quality of Luna luster is sub-par compared to all the illuminators, beauty powders, extra dimension and mineralize skinfinishes both limited edition and in MAC’s permanent range. Save your money.
