François’ Insight :
When it comes to blush, how and where you apply it is more important than what color you use. Cheek color shouldn’t be limited to the apples (no one blushes only on their cheeks!).
Douceur is described as soft pink-brown.
It is not too warm or too neutral, it’s somewhere in between. I believe it would pull more brownish on warmer skin tones and more pinkish on cooler.
It would suit light to medium skin tones the best.
Douceur in french means SOFT and this is the perfect name for this blush. It is your to go easiest blush to use. You can’t overdo it. It would look great with very neutral or soft makeup, or even with darker eyes or lips. This is kind of MLBB when it comes to blushes.
When it comes to pigmentation it is on sheerer side, but it is very buildable. It is smooth and easy to blend.
I am glad NARS has made couple of shades that are lighter and more sheer in color comparing to most of their other blushes which are very pigmented and you have to be careful with application.
Getting real color to show up for swatch was not very successful for me. I had to layer it and it ended up looking dry, powdery and caked up which is definitely not when you apply with a brush.
It does remind me of MAC Blushbaby but since I don’t have that one I can’t compare them. I found very nice comparison on Planet Martha
Must have for lighter skin tones!
