NARS Tribulation is part of the Private screening Fall 2015 collection and currently listed as limited edition (sadly). It is described as shimmery rosy sand – to me it it’s more of beige with golden sheen. Also it is marked as a “blush” but I feel it belongs to highlighting blush category. Either way it is beautiful and absolute must have. So far the best highlighting blush release from NARS.
Tribulation has great texture -very soft and silky and very pigmented. Blends easily and shimmer in it is so fine (opposite to other highlighting blushes that had large chunky glitter). Texture is better and smoother than a lot of blushes in the NARS range. I would love to see NARS continue in this manner with all the future releases.
Tribulation pulls slightly more golden on me than I expected but it might be because my undertone is so warm. But this could work on variety of skin tones because it is neutral enough. I do not think this could work as a blush even on the lightest skin tones but the color can pop if you layer it with another product. I tried it with BLKR illuminator and Hot sand illuminator (illuminator and then Tribulation on top). It can also be paired with Silend nude and Madly blushes or even Laguna bronzer just to add some glow. I love how it doesn’t have large shimmer but creates this perfect lit from within glow. Also if you are wondering it is more subtle than Albatros which is MUCH more golden.
NARS Tribulation retails for 30$ and I purchased mine at Nordstrom.
