Ballet slippers is Essie’s cult classic. I know I am probably the last person in the world to try this one. Having 2 little kids sometimes you need color that is easy maintenance and Ballet slippers is exactly that. Easy to apply you can go from one thin coat to 2 or more of more opaque but even one coat makes your nails look nice and polished. It is very forgiving on the application and chipping is less noticeable if you have no time to maintain your nails. As I was recently told this pale pink with a sheer finish is the most popular color among the brides.
Sharing my recent Essie hauls including some of the old classic colors and some of the newer ones that I ended up loving. Enjoy…
Between the seats was released as a part of the Bridal 2016 collection. It is described as “romantic lilac grey” and it is beautiful white based color with lilac and grey tone to it. Very unique to my collection and I absolutely love it on even though I am not fan of lighter colors on me. Opaque in one coat but formula is a bit tricky – on a thicker side and you have to work quickly with it. Layering doesn’t work well with this one and my suggestion is doing one thicker coat instead of trying to layer more thinner ones because they will go unevenly. Anyway worth the trouble because it is beautiful on.
Petal pushers is a cool toned slate gray and I have been avoiding it for a while thinking it will be too cool for me. Well I was wrong it is beautiful and with the great formula. If you like gray nail polishes you need this one. (petal pushers is not shown in the top photo)
