Sharing my love for Loccitane Shea butter collection

I’ve been using L’occitane Shea butter body range for the past 8 years and I am never without the iconic Shea butter hand cream – one tube is sold every three seconds around the world! How amazing is that? Enriched with 20% organic Shea Butter, this super-creamy balm penetrates quickly to protect, nourish and moisturize hands. Honey, almond extracts and coconut oil are blended with Shea Butter to create this extremely effective formula. Considered a “beauty must-have” by many, this “life-changing” hand cream is essential for home, work and on-the-go.  Since my hands are not the only dry part on my body I naturally added Shea butter foot cream – which I find a lot different than the hand one – it is lighter in texture and absorbs faster, with fresher scent and almost cooling effect to it.

When it comes to nail care beside the hand cream they also offer  Shea butter one-minute hand scrub – a rich, exfoliating gel-cream made with organic Shea Butter (10%), specifically designed for all skin types, even dry. It is enriched with exfoliating husks from walnut to gently exfoliate. Enriched with apricot oil and allantoin, this scrub helps soften hands while protecting them from drying out.  Recently L’occitane launched new packaging for this product – it used to be in the jar (it would get messy trust me, I still have my old jar and spatula) and now it is much more conveniently packed in the tube matching the hand cream. Hand scrub lasts forever – so little goes a long way you will forget when was the last time you bought it (literally years).  My last L’occitane purchase was Shea butter Nail & Cuticle nourishing oil – the only thing I can tell you is where has this been my whole life? As someone who swatches a lot of nail polishes and my cuticles being so dry I need something VERY hydrating and this is it. Plus it comes in a squeeze tube packaging with a nice pointy brush at the end so you can precisely apply oil where you need it. Smells heavenly too.

If you are fan of L’occitane Almond shower oil I highly recommend you check out their new Shea Fabulous Shower oil which gently cleanses and helps nourish dry skin. Its rich texture leaves a nourishing, protective film, which helps soften dry skin. It contributes to soothe feelings of tightness, helping skin feel suppler and more comfortable. Its gentle fragrance delicately perfumes the skin. I love the texture, love how hydrating and soothing it feels I just wish that signature Shea scent is a bit stronger in it . I love that Shea scent and would even love to see fragrance launched in this line.

I think by now you realized how much I LOVE Shea butter body range but how about their skincare line?  Thanks to L’occitane’s amazing team I was able to try some of their best selling products from the Shea butter face range and I wanted to share my thoughts.

Shea 3-in-1 Cleansing Water offers triple benefits for the skin:  It removes face and eye makeup and helps diminish excess sebum. It prepares skin for more skincare products. It helps hydrate and soften.
Enriched with softening Shea extract, rebalancing Orange Blossom floral water and soothing Cornflower
floral water, this ultra-gentle formula leaves skin perfectly cleansed, fresh, soft, and ready for further skincare steps. I love how efficient and gentle it is and a huge plus is a pump packaging. It removes even the heaviest makeup. I typically do not use cleansing waters on my eyes but strictly on my face. I know many use this on their eyes too and love it, even if their eyes are sensitive or they wear contacts.  Micellar waters became hugely popular in the last couple of years and I am so glad L’occitane added this to their range. This is only 24$ which is extremely reasonable for the luxe brand. Btw Cleansing water is sold out so often!! So don’t think twice- go get it! Run don’t walk.  Btw I would love to get full size Cleansing oil from this range – I used to have mini travel size and it was really good too.

Shea butter range offers two moisturizers:  The Light Shea Butter Comforting Cream, with its fine and non-greasy texture, is formulated with 5% shea butter to answer the essential needs of normal to combination skin, including sensitive skin types. Lastingly moisturized , skin is supple and soft. As protected against external aggressions, skin stays comfortable all day long. This became best seller instantly and I can see why – beautiful lightweight silky texture, absorbs instantly but hydrates deeply. This will be my go to during warmer months when my skin doesn’t need as much hydration.  The other moisturizer in the range is Ultra Rich Shea Butter Comforting Cream, with its creamy and melting texture, is formulated with a high concentration of shea butter (25%) to answer the essential needs of dry to very dry skin, including sensitive skin types. Lastingly moisturized, skin is supple, soft and feeling of tightness is reduced. The rich version was my jam during the last winter!! I fell in love so much with this moisturizer – it simply does that hydrates skin leaving it soft supple plumped without the tight feeling. Living in Midwest , winters are so brutal on skin with cold and wind outside and heating inside and dry air. You can’t win really. So I try as much as I can to help my skin. I also occasionally like to add Shea face soothing fluid – it is light texture fluid for added hydration and soothing. I like to leave thicker layer overnight.

With warmer weather approaching I am excited to try new Hydrating Aqua Reotier collection too  – Calcium-rich spring water face care for an ultra-hydrating daily routine.
