Tarteist clay paint liner

A revolutionary, first ever squeezable cream liner with a unique blending tip inspired by the ease of an artist’s palette.

Tarte overall as a brand has been one of my biggest discoveries of the 2015 and soon you will read more reviews of mine on their products. One of the best makeup launches of the past year has certanly been Tarteist eyeliner. Once it was launched it was flying of the shelves for many weeks in a row (and it still sells like crazy).
I do love the idea of the cream/gel eyeliner that is in the tube so you don’t have to worry about the air getting in there and drying it out. Plus it’s so much more hygenic not dipping the brush in the product directly. Tarte came out with the flat disc shaped top that you can use as your blending area instead of using back of your hand. If there is any excess product left you can easily clean it. I usually just use alcohol swabs.
Formula is incredible! It has just the perfect thickness, it glides on easily and dries to satin finish (which I prefer over matte looking eyeliners) and is budge proof. Seriously this thing does not move! Even if you forget you are wearing eyeliner and you rub your eye it won’t smudge or flake.  It is one of the blackest black eyeliners I have tried. Pigment is so rich that you can achieve complete opacity in one stroke (take a look at the swatch photo below). You have enough time before it sets and dries to make a nice wing. It is creamy enough that makes it easy to do the perfect line in one stroke. I hate when eyeliner formula is too dry that it tugs the skin and kind of skips so you have to go back and fix it.
Another great thing is that it comes with the dual ended brush that is surprisingly decent for a brush that you don’t have to purchase separately. I usually use just the flat not the angled side.  For 24$ getting the eyeliner and a brush is a steal.
One swipe gives you full opacity:
…and voila!
