Naked Skin is a buildable formula that allows you to customize your look. From light to full coverage, it feels like wearing nothing at all, yet transforms complexions. Skin looks natural, illuminated and bright: like the beautiful skin you were born with.
I got a sample of Naked skin in shade 2.0. I have been testing it for a week now and would like to share my thoughts about it.
Formula is very thin and runny. As they claim it is buildable – one thin layer gives light coverage. Adding another layer can be built to medium. Blending is easy either with brush (I used MAC 187) or with fingers. It sets on skin pretty fast.
First thing that I’ve noticed is that it has exactly the same smell as MAC studio fix fluid. It goes away in a minute or two.
Formula feels very light on skin, like you are not wearing anything which is a big plus who does not like feeling of foundation on skin.
Finish is natural, it’s not matte or illuminating.
I don’t see how this would work on drier or aging skin – I see that Urban claims that it has nice anti aging properties, but this foundation enhances dryness pretty bad. I had this issue around and on my nose.
Wear time is good. It does not come of or fade for at least 6+ hours. I am not sure how long it would stay on oily skin. I wear it without setting powder on top.
I think Naked would be nice choice for someone who has combination/oily skin and wants light coverage, natural finish and lightweight feel.
Probably the only thing that I did not like is that it enhanced my dry areas. But it is personal opinion because my skin is normal with dry spot.
I think Urban Decay made a huge progress when it comes to face products. Everyone knows about their best selling item Primer potion and probably as well their Naked palettes, so I am glad that they finally stepped up and made something nice for the face. I had a chance to work with their face products before – mineral foundation, cream foundation, concealers and primers- and trust me Naked skin is BIG improvement in that makeup category.
