@brookeraybould ✔️Save this post for your next family ski trip! 👉🏻go to this post on my IG and comment the word “SKI” to get links to my favorite kid’s ski gear from Amazon. Not going to lie, the first day we ventured out to ski, I asked myself: IS IT WORTH IT!? By the time we bought all the clothes, rented the skis, signed the boys up for ski school, paid for ski school, lugged all the equipment, bought our own lift tickets, and got onto the mountain… It felt overwhelming. And, it was/is. But, once we were on top of the mountain, it all made sense. Then, once the boys were able to go off and ski with Ryan and I all over the mountain, it was pure family bliss (and one of the best memories)! 🙌🏻 If you’re looking into a ski trip, I’d equate it closely to a Disney World trip. 😂 You’re going to have to pay, you need a ticket for everything, tickets will be expensive, you’ll need all the gear, and there is a markup on everything… but, the experience is worth it! Our boys ended up doing ski school for four days and skied with Ryan one day. Here are the key things to consider: Does your family want to be able to ski together as a family? •If the answer is, yes, it might make sense to budget and carve out ski trips every few years or so. •You don’t need a big ski vacation to get quality ski time. A lot of local mountains offer similar experiences! •Cost breakdown (what we spent money on)... long underwear, jackets, pants, boots, gloves, goggles. We rented boots, skis, and helmets (sometimes these are included with ski school). •At Snowmass, if your child is 7+ they need a lift ticket AND ski school day pass (this blew my mind!). •For three kids in ski school, it cost us about $1,000. 🤯 We had to limit the days, and spent our time doing other things around the mountain. All in all, the skiing experience is an investment! But I’d say, if you’re an athletic family, who loves being outdoors, it is an AMAZING family activity that you can do together for years to come. Thanks for joining our ski day, and be sure to check my IG stories for more behind the scenes. ♥️ Topic: how to plan a family ski trip!
